SNOWAV was developed at the USDA Agricultural Research Service in Boise, Idaho. SNOWAV standardizes the processing of physically based snow model results for analysis that are frequently investigated for water supply information. The standard processing includes methods to look at the model evolution through time, condensing the spatial information into tangible values, and performs change analysis between time periods.
