Desktop

Dolphin for desktop Windows, MacOS and Linux based systems.

Requires

Installation:

  1. Place the DynamicInputTextures folder into Dolphin's Load directory:
    • You can find the load folder if you navigate in dolphin to File > Open User Folder and navigate to the Load folder.
    • By default you can also find the load folder under
      • Windows: %UserName%\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load
      • Linux:
        • AppImage or distro package:
          • ~/.dolphin-emu/Load or ~/.local/share/dolphin-emu/Load depending on your system
        • Flatpak:
          • ~/.var/app/org.DolphinEmu.dolphin-emu/data/dolphin-emu/Load
      • MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Dolphin/Load
    • The path should now look like this .\Load\DynamicInputTextures
  2. Open Dolphin, enter Graphics > Advanced tab > Check Load Custom Textures.
  3. The Internal Resolution should be 2 or more, enter Graphics > Enhancements tab > increase Internal Resolution above 1x.
  4. As soon as you start a supported game, Dolphin will generate and load the new button textures.

Clone

It is also possible to clone this repository to Load/DynamicInputTextures

Xbox

Dolphin UWP for Xbox Series X and S.

Installation:

  1. Place the DynamicInputTextures folder into Dolphin's Load directory,
    • You can find the load folder on your Xbox Usb drive at Dolphin\Load
    • The path should now look like this Dolphin\Load\DynamicInputTextures
  2. Open Dolphin, Press Start to open the settings > Advanced > Check Load Custom Textures.
  3. The Internal Resolution should be 2 or more, Graphics > increase Internal Resolution above 1x.
  4. As soon as you start a supported game, Dolphin will generate and load the new button textures.

RetroDECK

RetroDECK for Linux and SteamOS.

Installation

Since v0.7.0b RetroDECK has an option to automatically install Universial Dynamic Input Textures for Dolphin.

Flatpak

This section also applies to the Dolphin version installed by EmuDeck for SteamOS.

Installation

  1. Place the DynamicInputTextures folder into Dolphin's Load directory,
    • To find the load folder, open Dolphin, click File > Open User Folder and navigate to the Load folder.
    • The path will be $HOME/.var/app/org.DolphinEmu.dolphin-emu/data/dolphin-emu/Load
    • If the Load folder does not exist, create a Load folder in the $HOME/.var/app/org.DolphinEmu.dolphin-emu/data/dolphin-emu folder.
  2. Open Dolphin, click Graphics > Advanced tab > Check Load Custom Textures.
  3. The Internal Resolution should be 2 or more. To adjust this setting, click Graphics > Enhancements tab > increase Internal Resolution above 1x.
  4. As soon as you start a supported game, Dolphin will generate and load the new button textures.

Android:

Dolphin for Android based systems are not supported and not planned.
