How to add a Site to the Showcase

Kelly Dwan edited this page Sep 18, 2023 · 4 revisions

Each site contains the following information.

  • Post Title
  • Post Content
  • Associated tags, categories, and flavor
  • Domain

The following are optional, but it's better to have as much of this information as possible.

  • Country
  • Author
  • Theme name

By default, the Showcase will automatically grab screenshots using the domain entered. If the generated screenshots are not showing the site in its best light, manual screenshots can be added.

  • Two screenshots
  • A feature color to use in the header behind the site screenshots

Entering Content

Sites are posts in the Showcase site. To add a new site, create a new post.

The title and content should be entered in the post like regular WordPress content. Use the document sidebar to add all the other information. There are panels for Screenshots, Site Information, Categories, Tags, and Flavors.

Site Information

This panel has text inputs for each value. The only required value is Domain, the others will just not be visible if they're empty.

Screenshots

This panel controls the page header for the site. If screenshots are uploaded here, they'll be used in place of the generated screenshots. This also has the setting for the background color. If a screenshot is uploaded, it will automatically be used to generate a color. This can be disabled to add a custom color. If no image is uploaded & no color is set, it will use the default grey #f6f6f6.

Default, no screenshots Has screenshots

Custom Fields

Do not open the Custom Fields panel, it will interfere with the sidebar UI.
