BUID++

A browser extension that provides enhanced GPA tracking and grade assistance for BUID Opencampus student portal.

Installation

1. Clone this repository or download the ZIP file
2. Open Chrome/Edge/Firefox and navigate to the extensions page
3. Enable Developer Mode
4. Click "Load Unpacked" and select the folder containing the extension files
5. The BUID++ extension is now installed and ready to use

How to Use

1. Log in to your BUID Opencampus portal at https://eu-quercus.elluciancloud.com/
2. The extension will automatically collect your student information and grades
3. Click on the BUID++ extension icon in your browser toolbar to view your information
4. Use the "Calculate GPA" button to recalculate your GPA if needed
5. Toggle dark mode with the sun/moon button if desired

Technical Details

The extension works by safely extracting your academic data from the BUID Opencampus portal. All data is stored locally in your browser and is not sent to any external servers. The extension requires permissions to access the BUID portal page only.

Permissions Used

• storage: To save your grade information locally
• activeTab: To access the current tab when you're on the BUID portal
• scripting: To run scripts on the BUID portal page
• host_permissions: Limited to the BUID Opencampus site only

Privacy

BUID++ respects your privacy:

• All data is stored locally on your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• No tracking or analytics
