I've started my career as a teacher, but quickly transitioned to software engineering, where I've been working for over 15 years now.

My expertise lies in backend development, distributed systems, devops methodologies and cloud technologies, but I'm also fairly comfortable with frontend development, and I lately did some experimentation with multiplatform mobile development (KMP) as well.
I also have a strong background in working with relational databases and SQL in general, and I enjoy designing and implementing efficient data models.
I've worked with a variety of programming languages, methods, tools and frameworks, but my focus nowadays is primarily on the JVM ecosystem, particularly Kotlin, where I've built 8 years of experience. Anyways, I always prefer static typing whenever it's possible or it makes sense.
I love simple and elegant solutions, that are easy to maintain and scale.
I've led teams and projects in the past, and I enjoy mentoring and sharing my knowledge with others.
I believe in the power of open-source software and community-driven development, which is why I created Kuvasz, which is a modern, open-source uptime monitoring solution that helps you keep track of your websites and services.
