UPDATED RELEASE: Due to rushing the release so I could go to bed, I neglected to test from a clean install on Blender 4.2 and missed a packaging issue that caused an error on installation in Blender 4.2. This has been rectified, and additionally I've had a little extra time to test it works on other Blender versions, so now it should install and be functional on 3.6, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2. If you have tried to install the addon in Blender 4.2 and had the error occur, you will need to remove it first before reinstalling following steps here.
First off, I'm sorry to everyone has been using this addon and battling bugs and breakages. I had left it to rot because of some issue I was having with an older release of Blender and lack of motivation. Judging by the number of forks, the addon was valuable to many more people than I thought, and after receiving a few donations and telling people I would take a look at the issues, I feel pretty bad for leaving it in such a state for such a long time. Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to work on the addon and sorry for leaving you hanging.
With the recent release of Blender 4.2 LTS and the extensions system I decided it was finally time to fix this addon. After a day or so of figuring out what has changed in Blender, getting back into the addon's code and updating it to work with the new Blender API it is now working again. There are definitely some bugs, but for some people it might be enough to do their work, so I decided to put out a stop gap release.
Vertex Color Master 0.9.0 Alpha is basically the same as the old release except that it now works on Blender 3.6 and above.
Known issues:
- The redo panel does not function correctly. I don't really have a clue how to fix this, so if anyone knows, please make an issue with information or submit a pull request. Other than that, the main functions such as gradients, isolate mode and channel swapping seem to be working OK, and you can still undo if you make a mistake.
