Fixed #551
This PR replaces #806, as the merging of #862 and #863 now only require the addition of fastcs-odin.
OdinWriter.open()was made more complex in #863, but this should be tested to see if the additions are still required with fastcs. This PR will be made a draft until fastcs-odin is on i03, after which testing will determine what additional signals should be annotated.#806 (comment) should be discussed.
