I needed this in order to get opening an image in a background tab to work.
Example (99% of it is stolen from #1007 (comment):
api.mapkey("gI", "#7View image in new tab", function() {
api.Hints.create("img", i => api.tabOpenLink(i.src, false));
});
Without the false parameter, the image opens in an active tab, which does not match the behavior when doing this via right click.
