When running tests in VS2012 with TestDriven.Net, I was getting a VerificationException - "Operation could destabilize the runtime" errors when running the SetFixture. Moving the casting outside fixed the problem.

As promised, here are the changes. Because they were all some what related, I couldn't do separate pull requests. Please let me know if there is anything that should be changed to your liking.
