because aws/aws-sdk-cpp#3492 is merged we can fix parts of #62

How do I update the used version of aws-sdk-cpp? Current seems to be

aws-sdk-cpp[cognito-identity,core,dynamodb,identity-management,kinesis,s3,sso,sts]:[email protected]

@Tmonster Can you give me a hint of to bump the aws-sdk-cpp version?

It is stuck at 1.11.428, even though I see is has been updated in vcpkg to 1.11.646

microsoft/vcpkg#47389

Having said that, I have never worked with vcpkg before, so I might miss how all of this is connected. Thanks

Hi @nicornk,

Thanks for the PR. We definitely want to bump the aws sdk for sure. Currently I am busy helping with the bug fix release, and am not too comfortable introducing a sdk bump in the bug fix release.
I will dive deeper into this once v1.4.1 is out 👍

we will need to bump our vcpkg version for that, which is something the core duckdb team will need to do and will be part of duckdb v1.5

ok, let me know when it's done and I can continue on this PR. There was also another improvement in the sdk related to the endpoint_url. @samansmink

@samansmink @Tmonster
When will the vcpkg version be bumped? Happy to look into adoption aws sdk related changes and improvements.
There seem to be a few open issues / regression wrt. SSO which I could look into.
