Guide for Maintainers

Nemo edited this page May 1, 2025 · 3 revisions

Things that maintainers should look out for, beyond the regular stuff:

  1. Think long-term.
  2. Go through Guiding Principles, and the Style Guide
  3. Suggest other maintainers, or projects to sponsor
  4. Label issues/pull-requests. The labels that we really care about are:
    • Breaking Changes - for PRs and issues that are breaking changes.
    • Request - for issues that are requests for product additions
    • New Product for PRs that are adding new products
    • Request/Very Helpful for Requests for products that once added, will be very helpful to the userbase.
  5. Review Dependabot PRs to keep automated changes in check. If something feels wrong, file an issue.

Specific Tasks that currently @captn3m0 does, but others are welcome to contribute to:

  1. Post on the New Product announcements thread once a month or so with list of new products added since the last announcement.
