Walkthrough

The documentation for the esp32_rmt_led_strip component has been updated to include a new optional configuration variable named use_psram. This variable allows users to explicitly allocate internal RAM, with a default setting of true. Setting use_psram to false forces the allocation of internal RAM even when the PSRAM component is enabled, which can help mitigate flickering issues with LED strips. The overall structure and content of the documentation remain unchanged.

Changes

File Path Change Summary
components/light/esp32_rmt_led_strip.rst Added new optional configuration variable use_psram (boolean), default true.

Possibly related PRs

  • Add SPI bus to spi_led_strip example #4224: The changes in this PR involve adding new configuration details for the spi_led_strip component, which is related to LED strip configurations, similar to the updates made for the esp32_rmt_led_strip component in the main PR.

57-57: Fix typo in the documentation

The documentation addition is well-structured and provides clear guidance for users. However, there's a minor typo - "the" is repeated.

-- **use_psram** (*Optional*, boolean): Set to ``false`` to force internal RAM allocation even if you have the the PSRAM component enabled. This can be useful if you're experiencing issues like flickering with your leds strip. Defaults to ``true``.
++ **use_psram** (*Optional*, boolean): Set to ``false`` to force internal RAM allocation even if you have the PSRAM component enabled. This can be useful if you're experiencing issues like flickering with your LED strip. Defaults to ``true``.

Additional improvements in the diff:

  • Removed duplicate "the"
  • Capitalized "LED"
  • Removed 's' from "leds"
