FMI Weather app was redesigned in 2022 because old app had become to end of its lifecycle. Basic design ideas were not to make too big changes to UI while still adding something new.
FMI Weather app has three main views: map, local weather and warnings. There is also a view for settings etc. Each of these views are described in this document on their own pages.
FMI Weather app is coded with react-native and it's published for IOS, Android and Huawei. App uses FMI's Smartmet Server to get its data. There are also widgets available although they still need to be remade.
Huawei-version doesn't include map -screen at all because it's unusable.
Versions < 5.0.0 include old Android widgets from previous app, iOS version is missing widgets. Version 5.0.0 includes new widgets for both Android and iOS.
