I had this sitting about for ages and forgot about it, but leaving it here in case it's useful:
Description
I don't know the history of this, but it doesn't seem to be presently used by anything - looking back at the change history I see that some references to it were removed in 0daa330 so I'm not sure if it simplfy became unsed in some past changes?
