Glossary
To be able to use RITE suuccessfully, it is expected that the users will have some familiarity to RACK. This page will give brief definitions of some terms used throughout the RITE wiki.

Assurance Case: An assurance case is a structured argument used to convey that a system satisfies some desirable properties.

Data Graph: Data graphs in RACK are used to store the data in the RACK database.

Goal Structuring Notation: GSN is a graphical standard of representing assurance cases.

Ingestion Package: Ingestion packages are structured collections used to load information in the RACK database.

Instance Data: Instance data can be any project data that needs to be loaded into RACK.

Manifest: A manifest is a
.yaml
configuration file that contains information about the data/model graphs to use for ingesting an ingestion package and the ontologies and data to include for ingestion. -
Model Graph: Model graphs in RACK are used to store the ontologies/semantic data models in the RACK database.

Nodegroup: Nodegroups are
.json
files that represent connections between data and can be used to either query the RACK database or load instance data into the database. -
Ontology: Ontologies are semantic data models that represent the domain-specific relationships between the different types of data that are to be loaded into RACK.

Semantic Application Design Language (SADL): SADL is a controlled and structured English language that can be used to build ontologies for RACK.
