We are pleased to announce the release of Helidon MCP 1.0.0. Helidon can now power your MCP server! MCP specification 2024-11-05 and 2025-03-26 versions are supported. Helidon MCP documentation and example can help you get started.

A minimum of Java 21 is required to use Helidon MCP. Java 25 is recommended.

CHANGES

Some key changes for the user of Helidon MCP Milestone 2:

• Use @JsonSchema.Schema instead @Mcp.JsonSchema.
• Prompt arguments uses a List instead of a Set.
