The ECG Workbench is a tool for viewing and editing ECG grammars, analyzing and parsing sentences using the ECG Analyzer, performing evaluation metrics on a grammar using the Sentence Test Runner View and linking vocabulary and ontologies between the language and action sides using the Token Tool.
The tool is based on the Eclipse application, and was created by Luca Gilardi.
We have tested the ECG Workbench on various machines, and have found that a 2-GB machine (a Mac Air) was not enough to run anything larger than a "toy" grammar, with only a few packages active.
Most testing and grammar development is done on 16-GB Windows machines, but we have also run it on smaller machines (4-GB and 8-GB).
Note that the rest of the system is not as computationally intensive as the workbench, and should still run on smaller machines.
