Installation

1. Download the latest version
   Visit the Releases page and download the latest .scr file.

2. Move the .scr file
   Copy the downloaded .scr file to a location accessible to all users. Recommended locations:

   • C:\
   • C:\Users\Public\Documents

3. Install the screensaver

   • Right-click the .scr file and select Install.
   • The Windows Screensaver settings window will open.

4. Configure your URL

   • Click Settings in the Screensaver window.
   • Enter your ImmichFrame backend URL. For example:

     http://192.168.0.100:8080
     

   • Click Save, then OK.

5. Enable the screensaver

   • Choose the ImmichFrame screensaver in the Windows Screensaver settings.
   • Set the desired wait time and other preferences.

Notes

• The screensaver must have access to the network or Internet to fetch images from your backend.
• Recommended to use a globally accessible location for the .scr file to avoid permission issues.

Troubleshooting

• If the screensaver does not appear in the list, make sure the .scr file is in a public or system folder.
• Ensure your backend URL is correct and reachable from your machine.
• On Windows 10/11, you may need administrative privileges to install in certain locations.

Uninstallation

• Navigate to C:\Windows\System32 or the folder where the .scr file is located.
• Delete the .scr file.
• The screensaver will be removed from the Windows Screensaver settings list.
