Was only relevant for creating the plugin from a template, can now be removed
Since eslint is already being ignored for example app in root's eslint.config, no point in having the dependency there.

Update all npm dependencies in plugin, as well as some in example app.
Linter updates required some changes in config and minor changes in
tscode.
