This version (1.08) introduces some new features.

You can now make the app automatically switch on Theater Mode which should eliminate notifications occurring on the collector watch.

Another new feature allows for half as frequent scanning when the watch battery is low. So instead of every 5 minutes you can make it automatically switch to every 10 minutes when the battery is below 30% etc.

For anyone who doesn't know, this version of LibreAlarm has been designed expecting the following configuration:

  • Running in conjunction with xDrip+ which has a calibration algorithm for interpreting the raw data.
  • Collection interval of 5 minutes. This mimics other CGM devices and many of xDrip's functions work better when the same collection interval is used. This also is a good trade-off between responsiveness and battery life.
  • Ideally running with the watch rooted to give the app access to the extra power-saving features.

As usual I have only tested this "on the bench" and so I welcome live testing and feedback.

This version (1.07) fixes some other issues which could have caused excessive power usage.

It also supports the ability to remotely reboot the watch from the app (root required) as well as having the preference items updated to indicate which root options appeared to work the best in my tests.

If you are upgrading then be sure to check you are using the new recommended default settings.

This version should also eliminate the "sensor clock has not advanced" error message.

I'm very keen to hear the results of testing as this has only been tested "on the bench"

This version (1.06) focuses on reducing power usage and optimizing the scheduling.

Quite a lot has been changed with the structure of the wear component of the app and I have only tested it "on the bench", so I am keen to hear how this performs in wider testing.

I also have made some improvements in the xDrip+ nightly from May 3rd which should mean that it will now show the newest data correctly.

Pre-release

Building on the previous release, I found some logic bugs and fixed some malfunctioning parts of the root features. I think this version will perform better than the previous one.

I've attempted to correct the reported bugs and improve reliability. I haven't tested this release so I'm relying on feedback from people testing it out to tell me if this fixes the problems.

This version (1.05) should fix the root features as well as working with the factory reset version of google play services. This means you shouldn't need to reinstall/upgrade google play services on the watch if you ever factory reset the watch.

To use this apk you will need to uninstall any previous (non-jamorham) version of LibreAlarm due to incompatibilities with the signing keys. Because I advanced the version number in this version, to downgrade you'll need to uninstall the app before reinstalling an older version.

This version is focused to work with xDrip+ and so you might have difficulties actually stopping the collector running as it is designed to resurrect itself and be as persistent as possible.

Use of this software is entirely at your own risk.
