plans for this next major release:

  • remove deprecated functionality (translate-component and -directive, $gettextInterpolate)
  • Implement new parser. allows parsing any language and is easier to customize
    • normalize line breaks
    • cleanup
  • ensure proper ESM compatibility, remove CommonJs build
  • reduce overall code complexity, refactor some old code from vue-gettext
  • [WIP] docs
    • new demo
    • new getting started section
    • fix and restructure
  • fix plural forms for default messages

This is already available as a pre-release: npm i vue3-gettext@next
