This is my actual dotfiles repo, which I've been hosting in my home servers for years.

It's all a mess and in Spanish, so it's only useful as an example of this: https://github.com/ldmosquera/dotfiles/ - see the wiki there for more explanation.

You can fetch a copy and use gitk to see what I mean about "hierarchical factoring" of branches.

I have a ton more branches, which I left out because I don't want to have to spend 6hs manually scanning for sensitive stuff from past jobs and so on.
