Welcome to the new home of BloxPress!

BloxPress is a interactive ajax-powered theme for the popular Wordpress blogging plattform. BloxPress allows you and your visitors to modify your blog contents by simply using desktop-like drag and drop. Something like iGoogle or Netvibes, but for Blogs! BloxPress latest feature addition was that it now works with the native Widget support introduced to Wordpress a couple revisions ago.

Among other things this project here at GitHub will become the definitive version and is currently under heavy development. In the past BloxPress had a custom Theme, tons of hacks and used Script.aculo.us, Behaviour and Prototype. Today we use jQuery and jQuery.UI – Keeping things small and compatible together with the Yahoo CSS Foundation for easy layouting and skinning.

  • BloxPress requires WordPress 2.2 or higher.
  • Javascript based on jQuery 1.2.6 and UI 1.5.2
  • The codebase is PHP4 OOP for compatibilty.
  • Using Yahoo CSS Foundation

Current Status: Alpha

WIDGET SUPPORT:
In the current version i dropped my own widget system and turned over to fully support the widgets system that became part of the WordPress Core a while ago
