Scikit-learn 1.6.1

We're happy to announce the 1.6.1 release.

This release contains fixes for a few regressions introduced in 1.6.

You can upgrade with pip as usual:

pip install -U scikit-learn

The conda-forge builds can be installed using:

@hernandezc1 your comment about this scikit-learn version pin is "missing_go_to_left error raised by 1.3.0+". v1.3 is two years old and they are now up to v1.7.1. Please check (if you haven't already) whether the error still occurs with this most recent version.

If error still occurs:

  • Close this PR without merging.
  • Do a new quick PR to add a comment that the error is still occurring in v1.7.1.

If error is gone:

  • Change the pin to scikit-learn>=1.7.1 (or a lower version if you happen to know of one that works). Leave the comment about the error that occurs with earlier versions.
  • You can either check out this branch and make the change here or else close this PR and open a new one.

Either way, you can approve and merge the PR yourself without my review, unless our github settings prevent you from doing that.
