FoxESS occasionally updates the inverter firmware in incompatible ways.

Each inverter has three versions: Master, Slave, and Manager (also called "ARM"). The version which matters here is the Manager (or "ARM") version.

We support a number of different manager versions for different models, but not all. If we don't support your manager version, you can ask FoxESS to update your inverter.

By default, this integration will try and talk to your inverter as if it was running the latest manager version. If you're running an older manager version, you can select an older version in the settings: go to Settings -> Devices & Services -> FoxESS - Modbus -> Configure -> Version settings.
