Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

In the interest of fostering an open, inclusive, and respectful environment, we pledge to make participation in our organization and all its associated activities a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

As Playful Sparkle, we are committed to creating a positive and supportive space for our team members, clients, partners, and the wider community we interact with through our branding, web design, web development, app development, digital marketing, and graphic design services. We believe that creativity and innovation thrive in an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment at Playful Sparkle include:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language.
  • Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism.
  • Focusing on what is best for our projects and our collaborators.
  • Showing empathy and kindness towards other people.
  • Communicating professionally and thoughtfully, considering the impact of our words and actions.
  • Respecting the privacy and confidentiality of others and sensitive information.
  • Giving credit where it is due and respecting intellectual property.
  • Collaborating effectively and supporting colleagues and clients.

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

  • The use of sexualized language or imagery, and unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
  • Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
  • Public or private harassment.
  • Publishing others' private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission.
  • Intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Discriminatory jokes and language.
  • Any form of unwelcome verbal, physical, or written conduct that is based on any protected characteristic (such as those listed in "Our Pledge") and creates an offensive environment.
  • Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
  • Unethical business practices, including dishonesty, fraud, or conflicts of interest.
  • Misuse of company resources or client information.

Our Responsibilities

All members of Playful Sparkle, including employees, contractors, and partners, are responsible for understanding and upholding this Code of Conduct. We are expected to contribute to a positive and safe environment for everyone.

Leadership at Playful Sparkle is responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and is expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all Playful Sparkle spaces, including our office, virtual communication channels (email, chat, video calls), project management tools, and social media. It also applies when representing Playful Sparkle in public spaces, such as at conferences, meetups, or online forums related to our work.

Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it promptly. All reports will be treated with confidentiality and taken seriously.
