Monthly Updates

This release includes the monthly updates for April. In the main postal data there were only a handful of changes nationally.

Fix for office codes with alternates

This is a minor bugfix release. Office codes with alternate values weren't working correctly because the alternate codes did not contain alternates themselves. Thanks to @digitalaun for identifying and fixing this issue in #17.

March Updates

Very few changes this month.

February Updates

Few updates this month. One interesting change is that 〒5810027 (Yaogi in Yaogi City, Osaka) was revised to add notes to the two rows it has: one with 丁目 and one without.

The romaji section in the README, which was outdated, has also been removed. There are no other changes.

January Updates

Not many updates this month, but unusually a few postal codes related to Misumi in Kumamoto (熊本県宇城市三角町) had their numbers change.

December Updates

This month has a healthy number of updates, with no particular pattern except for many revisions related to changing large ケ to small.

November Updates

This month somehow has slightly fewer significant changes than last month - two new areas were added in Aichi, and 〒330-0044 in Saitama was corrected from 瀬ケ崎 to 瀬ヶ崎.

October Updates

This month is a contender for fewest updates. Three unrelated postal codes were added and otherwise there were only minor changes.

September Updates

This month had more updates than usual. A few interesting ones:

• In Hokkaido, ニセコひらふ was assigned many new postal codes
• みらい平, near Tsukuba, had another new postal code added
• 上鳥羽 postal codes added in July were all revised to add 町 to the end of place names
• In Akita, 陣場岱 was corrected to 陳場岱

2022.08 Updates

This month had few updates, just the addition of a few areas and a small number of corrections.
