Initial pre-release of unitary library

This pre-release contains a version of the unitary library (marked 'alpha') which contains a minimum viable set of features as well as several example games. Note that features and interfaces are still likely to change (possibly significantly) as we incorporate feedback from initial testing of this pre-release.
