MAX_PATH

As Rakudo Star is just Rakudo PLUS some modules, it's core problems are inherited from Rakudo or Rakudo's dependencies, like MoarVm, NQP, ...

There are plenty "Windows MAX_PATH" issues reported around Rakudo, it's dependencies and tool chain. Please find some below:

Conclusion, the Windows MAX_PATH issue is inherited and needs to be fixed in the upper layers.
