ZoomIt Cheat Sheet

Quick-reference keyboard shortcuts and instructions to enhance your screen ZoomIt experience. Microsoft official documentation.

Zoom: Ctrl + 1

• Activate Zoom: Use the mouse wheel or up/down arrow keys to zoom in or out.
• Exit Zoom Mode: Press Escape or the right mouse button.
• Copy Zoomed Screen: Ctrl+C
• Save Zoomed Screen: Ctrl+S
• Crop for Copy or Save: Use Ctrl+Shift instead of Ctrl.

Live Zoom: Ctrl + 4

• Adjust Zoom Level: Use Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down.
• Drawing Mode: Enter with the standard zoom hotkey and exit with Escape.
• LiveDraw Activation: Use the hotkey with Shift in the opposite mode.
• Remove Annotations: Press Escape.

Draw: Ctrl + 2

• Start Drawing: Press the left mouse button.
• Undo Drawing: Ctrl+Z
• Clear Screen: W for white, K for black.
• Pen Control: Hold Ctrl and use the mouse wheel or arrow keys.
• Colors: R (red), G (green), B (blue), O (orange), Y (yellow), P (pink)
• Highlight and Blur: Hold Shift while pressing a color key. Press X for blur and Shift+X for strong.
• Shapes: Draw line (Shift), rectangle (Ctrl), ellipse (Tab), arrow (Shift+Ctrl)
• Clear Screen for Sketch Pad: W for white, K for black.
• Copy or Save Screen: Use Ctrl+C to copy or Ctrl+S to save. Crop using Ctrl+Shift instead of Ctrl.

Typing

• Enter Typing Mode: Press t or Shift + t for right-aligned text.
• Exit Typing Mode: Press Escape or click the left mouse button.
• Change Font Size: Use the mouse wheel or up/down arrow keys.

Break: Ctrl + 3

• Activate Timer Mode: Use the Break menu item in the ZoomIt tray icon.
• Adjust Timer: Use arrow keys.
• Exit Timer Mode: Press Escape.

Snip: Ctrl + 6

• Copy Region of Screen: To the clipboard, or use the hotkey with Shift for file saving.
