Monthly Report Moving to a New Location

Hi,

Time flies, and it's the end of another month. In general, I summarize the updates on the projects in the RingDAO ecosystem and initiate a discussion in the dcdao section, as has been done for the past few months. However, I'm considering moving these discussions to the ringecosystem discussions (https://github.com/orgs/ringecosystem/discussions) because many projects
we are working on are not solely related to the Darwinia chain or the dcdao. What I summarize is more like updates of the entire RingDAO ecosystem, including the Darwinia Chain. I'm still thinking about how to make this monthly report better and more informative.

I hope this change makes sense to you all. If you have any suggestions or opinions, please let me know.

But then which Medium will the monthly reports be published on?
I guess there is no RingDAO Medium yet?

Yes, currently, no RingDAO Medium. Maybe we can have one or rename the current Darwinia Medium to RingDAO Medium.

Between these 2 options, I think it is absolutely better to just rename Darwinia Medium to RingDAO. 👍
Continuity will be maintained, but also the archive/history.

If we continue only with a new RingDAO medium and nothing is published on Darwinia medium, it may leave wrong/bad thoughts...at the same time, there will be too many mediums, together with DCDAO medium, a total of 3. 😁

Regarding opinions and suggestions, my feedback is that the reports are short, concise, but above all as if they are intended for developers, i.e. people with higher web3/programming knowledge.

If the audience/consumer of those reports is the community, I think they should be intended and adapted for the average Joe.

Another suggestion, when there are some changes in focus or news, if there are human resources and time, an article about it would be desirable.

I know that the current market is unfavorable and human resources are limited, but I am talking about rare cases like this one.

I think such an article is also needed for those of us who contribute through DCDAO, so that we can then pass on that knowledge of changing course/focus (and other news) to the community.

That's my opinion and suggestions. 👍

Really good point. I'm thinking about this as well this afternoon. I think for the monthly report, because the report content is a list of the latest changes to the chain protocol, new product features, or bug fixes, its audience should be someone who has a basic understanding about our ecosystem products. So I think the major audience should be community leaders like you, and the members who are actively involved in the RingDAO discussion. This report can be seen as a summary of the latest changes for the community leaders, and they can further explain to the community members.

As for the content of the report, I must say the current content is good enough. The reports should be written with more details or more explanation, so the community leaders can easily understand and explain to the community members. I will spend more time and effort on this. I'd be willing to hear what kind of information or content that you want to see in the report, what kind of information can help you better.

Okay, if the monthly report is intended primarily for community leaders, then the level and manner in which it is made is fine.

Regarding the content, the current one is short and strict.
An improvement would be, if you have time, to provide 2-3 sentences of explanation for certain items of the report.
Example.
Darwinia Chain: Fix remaining democracy lock
Collator staking app: Support ENS parsing and display.

If it is intended only for Denny, that is great and enough.
When it is intended for me, Saso, June, PD, Jesse, etc., a few sentences would be good.
Of course, if you have time.

As feedback from what was discussed at the RingDAO Round Table, news from Helixbox, DeGov.AI, ParaLink, when available, are welcome. 👍

It can also be bimonthly if it is too much work every month.

This is for another topic, but what if we (slowly) let go of DCDAO to ease the confusion and funding and keep only Ring DAO and Kton DAO.

Also good would be to explain in one article what Itering, Ring DAO and Kton DAO do for the whole Ring ecosystem. To make it clear for new adopters. And present at conferences. Helixbox and Subscan and Paralink and Degov.AI you mention. This article could be potentialy then used at conferences as a marketing material.....

I can open a seperate discussion on this if interest shown.

IMHO, the community part you mention is what we (June) are doing with the DCDAO Monthly Report.

Similar to that. Would be even shorter and only most important news be shared in one short line(link could be added to learn further).
So that average Joe who usually never checks this would look at it.
If one is more interested he knows where to look or ask.
All this I mean for non developers.
But if this would be on Github probably not even nevesary as hard to get anyone to participate in debate and read.

Also I think we have too many different social accounts. Would be good to get a questionare and ask community members what they actually check and delete others....making it easier to follow for average Joe.
