Documentation for different version?

Hy.

If I understand it correctly, the current documentation refers to the main branch of the nav2 repository.

Of course there are features in the main branch that are not available in older versions of nav2, f.e. VelocityPolygon is not available for Humble and I can't see a possibility to switch between versions in the documentation. Because of that, the documentation and the available features in a branch often don't match and we are often not sure, if the Features and/or Params really exist.

Is there a way to get the documentation that fits to others branches?

Our system:

• Ubuntu 22.04
• ROS2 Humble

Unfortunately, we do not currently. The docs align with the main (and largely then jazzy currently) branch. I've not had time to find a way to manage multiple versions of the docs site. I appreciate the issue and would welcome a contribution to make a way to select for pages different distribution versions (and some mergify bots to make it easy to backport doc PRs to the appropriate distributions). Currently, that is not possible, but its not impossible to add by any means :-)

As a note, I know the MoveIt project does build docs for different branches (with a drop down box to switch between), and I'm pretty sure it is all done via GitHub CI - that might be a good starting point
