Motivated by my need to run
autoreconf -ibefore building on Mac, this removes the autoconf/automake generated files. Necessitates runningautoreconf -ibefore building (or making a source release) from a git checkout.I've tested this on Debian Linux and Mac. Hopefully the same would work for MinGW on Windows but would need testing.
