Workflow

TournamentMango has a lot of great features, but some of them are buried under some opaque buttons, so lets go through the whole workflow here, in-depth.

First, after signing in, you'll be taken to the Player Panel. Here, you can create players in a player set. Selecting a player (or group of players) allows you to see further options -- one of them allows you to add players to your player bucket. After adding all the players you'd like in your tournament, select them all and add them to the player bucket.

Optionally, next, you can create an event (in the Event Panel). An event is a grouping of tournaments, and you can add other metadata such as the time, place, etc.

Next, head on over to the Tournament Panel. In here, you just need to create a tournament. After that, hit the "start" button and you'll be able to start the tournament. Verify that you have the correct number of players, and that you've chosen the correct ones. Then, decide on the type of tournament you want (need help with the options?). Hit start, and you're good to go!

Did you forget to add players to your player bucket? That's okay! You can start the tournament anyway and add the players from there. Both options are available to allow users to do this however it works best.

After you've finished a tournament (the status will be "Completed"), you can then start scoring your players. Head back to the Player Panel and you'll see a new bar full of scoring information. It will be populated with the games of each tournament you've played, as well as some score functions (for now, Simple and ELL). You will want to force recalculate before each tournament to get the latest scores. It does not currently update automatically. It will recalculate by itself if you change the game or the score function.
