+Rossie Luo is a 1st year PhD student in the Treangen lab. She worked in the synthetic biology industry for two years before starting her PhD program in Systems, Synthetic and Physical Biology (SSPB) at Rice. Her research is currently focused on microbial metagenomics and strain-level analysis to identify virulence factors. Outside of research, she enjoys nature, running and spending time with her dog
