Upcoming new releases

Upcoming major and minor releases are typically spaced 6 months apart. Dates are tentative, and can shift for various reasons.

Valkey 9.0

The new major release, 9.0, has a tentative new feature cut-off date of July 15th. No new major features will be admitted after this point, but incremental changes will be accepted.

The GA version of Valkey 9.0 has a tentative release day of September 15th, 2025.

Upcoming patches

Valkey patches are released as needed. Typically expect about one patch a quarter as long as there are pending bug to backport.

Valkey 7.2.9, 8.0.3, 8.1.2

No planned patch release.
