Details:

Replaced usage of std::u8::MAX with u8::MAX to resolve Clippy's legacy numeric constants warning.
Removed unused use std::usize; import flagged by Clippy.
Upgraded black from 23.7.0 to 24.3.0 to address vulnerability.
Ensured compatibility across updated lints and formatting tools.
