Changes

  • Slightly improved performance of floating tabs with active shadows.
  • Significantly improved performance of attached tabs. This was achieved by significantly reducing the number of masks and filters used. The backdrop-filter property has been completely removed, as it is unstable, causes excessive load on the GPU and memory leaks.
  • Attached tabs can no longer be torn apart. From now on, tabs with external roundings are one monolithic figure, and not 3 different ones. Breaks are excluded in all senses. Also, work with tab animations has been improved.
  • The ability to use the active tab indicator has been returned. Now it is compatible with other indicators.
  • Added the ability to make inactive tabs opaque, like in old browsers with Windows 7 Aero.
  • For attached tabs, the work of tab grouping has been slightly changed. This is a temporary solution. When Mozilla adds drag and drop for tab groups, I will return the default behavior.
  • Web content roundings now works for all themes, but is not compatible with some of them. Also fixed the problem of sites leaking beyond the rounded corners. This could happen if the site header uses the backdrop-filter property.
  • Unloaded tabs are now semi-transparent. This improves compatibility with different themes.
  • Media icons in tabs have been redesigned for the new implementation.
  • Shadows now only work on the System / Light / Dark theme.
Fun service

I decided to make the releases a little more unusual. Starting this year, I will post the name of one anime that I think might be interesting. For those who understand russian language, I will leave a link. Just follow it and watch. Everyone else will have to independently search for this anime with a translation into your native language. If you get bored or just have nothing to do, watch it. Maybe it will improve your mood. And follow the age restrictions.
