Welcome to the DBPF wiki! Most of the info came from SimsWiki and from communications with members in the SimCity4 and TSO communities.

Each DBPF archive contains a number of files/blobs which are indexed and can be compressed. The DBPF header contains meta-data like version numbers which control the sizes of TGI's and the location of the file index.

A DBPF file is usually structured as so: <[[header|DBPF header]]><file 1><file 2>...<file n><[[index table]]>
