The firmware programs unknown chip on an unknown board within the Radio Controller. The firmware existed only in early versions of the update package, which suggests that it is only used in early versions of the RC.

The firmware is always unencrypted.
It is very small, and most likely contains some 8051 micro-controller code.
No analysis of the booting procedure were performed.
