How to manage Quality Requirements Patterns
⏪ User Guide >> 7. Configuration >> 7.8 How to manage Quality Requirements Patterns
Quality Requirements Patterns are used to reuse quality requirements in different projects. To organize the patterns, users can use classifiers.
The quality requirements patterns management is available in the Configuration menu, Quality Requirements Patterns option.
The New Requirement Pattern button allows to create a new quality requirement pattern. The view will guide the user through the needed steps. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
The attributes of a pattern are the following:
- Name: Name of the pattern.
- Goal: Goal of the pattern.
- Description: Description of how to achieve the goal.
- Requirement: Requirement that allows achieving the goal. It will include a parameter marked with "%", for example "%value%".
- Save pattern into classifier: Classifier where the the pattern will be added.
- Parameter name: name of the parameter used in the requirement excludin the "%" signs.
- Parameter description: Description of the parameter.
- Parameter correctness condition: Correctness condition of the parameter values.
- Parameter metric: Defines the parameter type. It includes a button to manage the availabe metrics.
In order to edit a pattern, the user should select a pattern from the list on the left side. After modifying the pattern information, the user should use the Save Pattern button (at the bottom) to save the changes.
To delete a pattern, the user should select the pattern from the list on the left side and click the Delete Pattern button (at the bottom). Before deleting the pattern the user will be asked for confirmation.
The New Classifier button allows to create a new classifier. The view will guide the user through the needed steps. Fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory.
In order to edit a classifier, the user should select a classifier from the list on the left side. After modifying the classifier information, the user should use the Save Classifier button (at the bottom) to save the changes. Users could always edit the classifier name, but they only could change the parent classifier if the current classifier is empty.
To delete a pattern, the user should select the pattern from the list on the left side and click the Delete Pattern button (at the bottom). Before deleting the pattern the user will be asked for confirmation.
In order to manage the metrics that the patterns use, the user should select the Manage Metrics button at the New Pattern or Edit Pattern view. The new view will allow the user to create, edit and delete metrics in the same way as patterns or classifiers.
