I have run into issues with heli throttle curve being totally unable to handle changing battery voltage.

Support for battery voltage compensation in heli throttle curve and governor.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I use the governor as is but there are risks associated with governor underspeed and overspeed conditions as if the throttle curve is set for full battery the throttle curve won't provide adequate command to the ESC, if the throttle curve is adjusted for low battery state it can produce rotor overspeed condition which causes significant
increase in vibrations.

Hi @LupusTheCanine, thanks for the detailed write-up — this is a very valid issue, especially for heli setups where voltage sag directly affects head speed and vibration levels. It’s a real issue for heli setups with voltage sag.

I’d like to work on adding battery voltage compensation to the heli throttle curve and governor in Copter. I’ll review the current implementation and propose an approach once I have a clear path forward.
