ChurchCRM offers a powerful search capability to quickly locate data within your application.

Using Search

The top-left corner of the application provides a search bar capable of locating items from the following categories. There is also a keyboard shortcut ? to open the search box.

• People
  • Searches by partial name
  • Groups
    • Searches by partial name
  • Payments/Pledges
    • ONLY users with access to financial data will see these results
    • Searches by Check number
    • Searches by value when search query is formatted as min-max; i.e. 100-500 will show all payments with a value between $100 and $500
  • Deposits
    • ONLY users with access to financial data will see these results
    • Searches by deposit comment
  • Families
    • Searches by partial family name
    • Searches by custom property values
  • Addresses
    • Searches families by partial address
  • Calendar Events
    • Searches events by title, description, and event text

Configuring Search

Many parameters are available in System Settings | Quick Search to tune search results provided.

Parameters here include a true/false value to specify whether results of a particular type should be included in results, as well as a Max value to limit the quantity of results of each type.
