RNA Assembly

Transciptomic data is essential to understand the functional aspects of a genome. Transcriptomes helps us understand which genes are actually expressed in the organism at a given point of time. As RNA has a different biological role in eukaryotes compared to DNA, RNAseq data requires a different kind of assembler as compared to those used for DNA assembly.

Trinity was used for RNAseq assembly. RNA Assembly was done using paired and unpaired reads independently of each other.
