In this tutorial we sill show you how to import any of your creations into the 3D modelling software Blender. This way you can use it to make animations, high-quality renders, use it in other videogames,...
See an example with this cool render of the creature Tau, made by Deoxys:
You will need to install:
- Blender (versions 2.8 or higher, including 3.x)
- The latest version of the SporeModder Blender Addons.
- The GmdlExport mod. To install it, you need the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit. The launcher kit requires the latest version of Spore: Galactic Adventures.
If you already had the addons installed, you can ensure they are the latest version by going to the menu Edit -> Preferences..
. In the Add-ons
tab, look for the SporeModder Blender Addons and click on Check now for sporemodder_addons update
. Then it will let you update if necessary:
- Open Spore.
- Open the console by pressing
Ctrl + Shift + C
- Type
gmdlexport
and press enter. - The Sporepedia will open. Find the creation you want to export. You can export creatures, vehicles, buildings and flora. The first time you export the creation you will have to preview it (by clicking the
...
button below its Sporepedia card). - Double-click the creation and the Sporepedia will close. If you open the console again, it will tell you if it was exported successfully or not.
